After extensive travel about the globe and random art classes in various countries, Marni
studied at the Ottawa School of Art where she exhibited artwork in group shows and had a solo show at the Lee Matasi Gallery in 2014. Harris has pieces at the MacOdrum Library (Carleton University, Ottawa), has exhibited at galleries across Canada and sells prints at the Malaspina printmaking studio on Granville Island. She currently is also studying sculpture at the Vancouver Sculpture Studio and Metal Sculpture at Emily Carr.
When not in the studio, Harris continues to teach yoga, coach/train people of all ages and abilities, volunteer at BC Children's Hospital, train in a variety of sports and travel with her family. These rhythms of motion, connections to various communities, and playtime in nature inform her art practice.
Her current print exhibit, Inspiration & Freedom, contains portraits of people, landscape, and others that evoke 'rhythm of movement.' The prints were inspired by people who live with fire in their belly, landscape that connects us to our primal being and rhythms that ferry us through this ever-changing world.
